| Sikhs appeals SAD (B) to review decision on Nuclear deal | | | Early Times Reporter

The Shiromani Akali Dal Badal of J-K state has made an appeal that Sikhs should not become instrumental in pulling down congress led UPA Government headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh.
As per a release Dr. Singh is a renowned economist, great visionary, intelligent, dedicated and a honest gentleman who became Prime Minister of this great country should be given time to complete his tenure. He is the first and may probably be the last Sikh to have achieved such a great distinction. He has earned worldwide recognition and makes Sikh Community a proud not only in India but all through the World. Let our organization may not become a party in the history where a Sikh is being pulled down from his position by Sikhs.
Even the issue of Indo-US Nuclear dear on which vote of confidence is being sought seems to be very much in the interest of Country and can be most useful for Punjab where we need energy very badly for overall development and prosperity of the State and that too clean energy in view of global warming and climate changes.
We request the apex body that entire issue be examined keeping in view the general sentiments in Punjab and take such decisions as may not go bad in the Sikh history. We again request SAD to review their decision in view mantling pressure from Sikhs all through the country. |
