| NC delegates session at Mendhar | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 19 Hailing the imposition of Governor’s rule in the state, NC delegates convention held at Mendhar has demanded timely holding of elections to the state assembly. The delegates are the convention were apprehensive that some political parties having no base in the state may conspire to delay the political process as they are not in favour of early elections . However, the delegates were of firm belief that political set up is utmost necessary for which elections should be held without any delay. The delegates at the convention were appreciative of the commendable performance of Javid Rana who represented the Mendhar constituency from 2002-08 and maintained that what Rana did in six years could not have been done in past 50 years in the constituency. The delegates sought extension in preparation of photo identity cards as the trial populace is migrating these days and may be back during October. The delegates expressed their concern over the shortage of fertilizer in the area besides erratic power supply. |
