| Army jawan arrested with heroin worth Rs 1 cr | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 20
Police arrested an Army jawan and recovered heroin worth Rs one crore from him in Rajouri district.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted sepoy Sumeet Singh at Inphaja Morh in Kandi belt on Saturday night and recovered heroin worth Rs one crore from him, official sources said.
Singh, of 13 Jammu and Kashmir light infantry is presently posted in Udhampur belt of state and was on leave when arrested, they said.
Confirming the jawan's arrest, an Army spokesman Col S D Goswami said that jawan has been arrested and court of inquiry has been ordered in this direction. |
