| One killed in blast in Gulmarg | | | Early Times Reporter Gulmarg | July 20 At least one person was killed and severalinjured in a grenade attack by militants at Gulmarg hill resort in Jammu and Kashmir this evening, official sources said. Militants hurled a grenade on a tourist vehicle at Gulmarg resort, 65 kms from Srinagar, around 5 pm, causing splinter injuries to seven persons, the sources said. The condition of three of them was stated to be critical. It was not immediately clear whether the injured were tourists. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes barely 24 hours after cadres of Hizbul Mujahideen blasted an army vehicle, part of an army convoy at Narbal along the Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, killing eight soldiers and injuring 14 others. Earlier, on July 18, militants detonated a grenade at Banihal along the Srinagar-Jammu national highway injuring 34 people including six security personnel. |
