Early Times Reporter
Akhnoor | July 20
Fallen electric poles are adding to the miseries of the people of the Akhnoor area. Electric poles had been lingering towards land for the last few months causing inconvenience to the commuters in general and people of the area in particular but PDD department is not bother to erect the same. The sight is not any far off place but on the main road at Pullian Ala Mandir near bus stand. When Early Times scribe surveyed the area he came to know that the live wires on these poles can prove detrimental to those who so ever touch them. The vehicles plying the road many a times touch with the poles nearly laying on the ground, thanks to security forces deployed at the Akhnoor bridge that debarred over loading other wise a major tragedy would have been caused. Residents of the area told this scribe that they approached to PDD department many a times but of no avail. It seemed that the department will rise to the slumber only after a mishap or two. On being contacted, PDD Junior Electrical Engineer, Inderjeet Singh told that the problem would be solved soon.
