| NC leader appeals party workers to maintain peace | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 20 Alleging that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers and its leadership are frustrated after the pull out from coalition government, senior National Conference leader and former MLA Mendhar Javaid Ahmad Rana today appealed his party workers to maintain peace. In a press statement issued here today, Javaid Rana appealed its workers to maintain peace as National Conference has never indulged in such activities. Referring to the clash between the PDP and NC workers on Saturday in his home constituency, he said, "PDP is a frustrated lot, as after the downfall of alliance government the frustration among the party and its workers has increased and out of frustration they are doing such activities." "Hijacking the issues has remained a basic principal of the PDP supporters and its leadership, despite knowing that it's hallow promises and poor policies has exposed them. National Conference will give them a befitting reply in coming elections," he added. Terming yesterday's clash between the workers of PDP and National conference as "unfortunate", Rana alleged that it was not a new thing for the PDP. "The history is replete with instances that PDP and its leadership used to get frustrated and in frustration they create problems for the people," he further alleged. Appealing the party cadres not to take any extreme step and maintain peace in the area, Rana claimed that National Conference do not believe in violence and disturbance. "We do not believe in violence as PDP only claims that it wants peace with dignity in the region," he said. |
