| JKNPP releases list of candidates for assembly elections | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | July 21 The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party on monday released the list of 20 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. These include four members of the dissolved assembly from Jammu region and 16 from Kashmir valley, JKNPP Chairman Bhim Singh said. He said the candidates for the rest of the constituencies would be announced next week as district presidents of the party have been asked to submit the list of the probables to the party high command for consideration. Referring to the statement of state Governor N N Vohra that election process in the state would be completed in November, Singh demanded delimitation of the constituencies in the state before holding the polls. Supporting the Indo-US nuclear deal, he asked all the Lok Sabha members to rise above party lines and vote for the Congress-led UPA government. "I appeal MPs of all political parties and individuals to rise above party politics and vote for the future of India," he said. |
