| Khoda decorates brave police personnel | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | July 21 Appreciating the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in bringing peace and normalcy in the state, the Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda Monday said that all ranks of police force were engaged in maintaining peace and normalcy in the state. Khoda was addressing investure ceremony organised in honour of brave jawans and officers, who had done remarkable work in their jurisdictions during various events. He said the humanitarian approach of the jawans and officers with the citizens was appreciated by the department and also by the people across the state. The Director General pledged his support to the jawans and officers in their fight against disruptive elements. He asked the police force to remain on guard against anti-national elements and exuded confidence that they were capable of thwarting ill designs of peace detractors. He said there was need to continue the offensive against these elements till the State achieved the goal of total peace and normalcy. On the occasion, Mr. Khoda decorated 19 officers and jawans of the force by fixing the higher ranks, who were earlier promoted out of turn for their good performance. Cash rewards were also given to the three officers. Among others, the investure ceremony were attended by Inspectors General of Police Mr. Ram Lubaya and Mr. S. M. Sahai, DIG (Administration) PHQ, Mr. Suliman Salaria, SSPs Srinagar, Pulwama and Budgam, SPs, Awantipora, Kulgam, Handwara and senior police officers. |
