| Aziz criticize PDP in sabotaging development works. | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 21 The vice president Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Prem sagar Aziz has lashed out on PDP for scuttling the move to setup cement factory in Siara area of Bani constituency. In a statement, issued here today, Aziz criticized the role of PDP and its leaders for coming in the way of the development of this hilly and backward area. He said that Shree-Shree Cement had agreed to setup a big cement plant in Siara area after testing the limestone. This would have generated lot of jobs opportunities for over 6000 unemployed youth but PDP ministers opposed this. Aziz said that due to efforts of congress leadership the Sewa Hydel Project is coming up in the area which will generate 120MW power. Its first phase has already started generating 9MW power. Its second phase will be completed on July 2009. He said that because of negative attitude of PDP, the efforts of massive development initiated by Azad government were retarded and withdrawal of support four months before due time has caused great loss to the people of the state |
