Jammu | July 21
The SRTC employees, who are again on a strike since July 17 both at Srinagar and Jammu following failure of the government to implement the agreement reached between the employees union leaders and the government in March last, have sought Governor’s intervention in resolving their long pending demands.
The Association in an appeal to the Governor has sought immediate release of pending salary from April, release of 42 installments of COLA, release of two installments of 5th pay commission due from 1995, release of medical relief, besides regularization of consolidated workers.
In the meantime, the Union has reiterated its resolve to continue the ongoing strike till its demands are fulfilled and the agreement reached between them and the government is implemented.
