| Security forces on guard to prevent big strike on august 15 | | Non functional Cctvs at jammu railway station burden security forces | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 21 After the arrest of three LeT militants from Jammu railway station on saturday security forces have been frisking and keeping a tight vigil on the movement of suspected individuals in the crowded area in and around railway station. Regular checking of transport vehicles,auto rickshaws and two wheelers was being carried out besides keeping a check on the movement of suspected individuals.Special police squads have been formed and all t he senior officials have been tasked to share intelligence gathering with an aim to improve reaction time in the event of some action.Hotel owners have been advised by the police to keep a eye on the guests and their suspected movements. Scarce man power and non functional close circuit television cameras at the Jammu railway station are adversely affecting tight vigil yet security forces are working in tandem and doing their best to ensure safety of all the tourists/pilgrims and other passengers at the railway station. The police has set up nakas on all roads connecting Jammu railway station to different localities and carrying out day long searches to apprehend suspected over ground workers and conduit of militants. According to intelligence reports militants after receiving training in militant training camps have been pushed inside the Indian territory through different routes and now being sent to Jammu and Kashmir to take over the command from their junior counterparts facing hardships. Intelligence agencies have been regularly receiving inputs about regrouping of militants ahead of Assembly elections in Jammu. "The gun fight between joint team of security forces and hiding militants in Rajouri was the outcome of the leads gathered by the interrogators during interrogation of three arrested militants" ,official sources said. Security forces are hopeful of busting similar terror modules in the coming days to prevent any militant strike during August 15, claimed official sources. |
