| Lawyers to suspend work till July 26 | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 24 Bar Association Jammu in a meeting under the chairmanship of its president BS Salathia has decided that the members of the bar will abstain from appearing in the courts up to Saturday. In the meeting it was unanimously resorted to support the Jammu Bandh call given by Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti. A Team of bar led by Salathia comprising advocates CM Sharma Vice President, Pawan Maini General Secreatry, RK Kotwal, Minu Koul, Kishore Kumar, Abhinav Sharma, JP Gandhi, Ajay Kotwal, Subodh Singh Jamwal, visited Bishnah, the native village of Kuldeep Kumar Dogra and paid tributes to the departed soul. The members also took stock of the prevailing situation in Bishnah and termed it as an eye-open for the administration which had become a mute spectator in whole of the affairs. The lawyers condemned the action of the administration and police official responsible for making a deliberate attempt to cause cremation in the mid-night which is against the Hindu rituals. The bar appreciated the role of the people of Jammu province for making communal harmony and peace in the present situation. JNF |
