| Hardcore criminal held with pistol | | | Early Times Reporter

A major success was achieved by Sainik Colony police by nabbing a hardcore criminal identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Baban s/o Amanjeet Singh and recovered a country made pistol from his possession. Baban who is a member of Sunny gang is a history sheeter and is most wanted in many criminal activities. He was the kingpin who along with Sunny assaulted on Major,a gangster of other party, with sharp edged weapons few months back in Gadigarh area and escaped from the spot. He then along with Sunny and other gangsters fired at police party at Manda area near Ambphalla few months back, police, when on tip off laid a naka in the area to arrest them. An attempt to murder case was also registered against him in Jammu railway police post. Police was on toe to nab the culprits.Today on tip off a police party led by incharge police post Deepak Pathania and officiating SDPO East Mamta Sharma under the supervision of SP South Mubisheer Latifee laid a trap and arrested him. A case under section 3/25 Arms Act was registered against him in Sainik Colony police post. His interrogation was on to elicit more information. |
