Jammu | July 24
Describing the police action against hunger strikers at Parade Ground at mid night and forcibly taking away the body of martyr Kuldeep Kumar to descrate it at border town of Bishnah in darkness in the absence of his relations as barbarous, Ashok Khajuria, state president BJP, while talking to media persons in Jammu, said that all this resembles to that of British rulers who had been desecrating the bodies of the patriots in darkness to save themselves from the wrath of the masses.
He further said that the deplorable action by the administration of the governor, was obviously at the instance of the frustrated Congress led UPA government at the centre.
Strongly indicating the statement of Omar Abdullah, Khajuria remarked that even third generation has not changed their behavior in double speaking Late Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah of early fifties had to be talking in similar manner. One way at New Delhi and another way of having postured at Jammu and a new one at Srinagar.
He recalled that for such like contradictory talking, Omar Abdullah’s grandfather was put behind the bars for 22 years by the Congressmen itself to which party the grandson has mysteriously come to the rescue to save it from a doom which is still not very far as the elections to the Lok Sabha are due with in some months.
But it was amazing that Congress President, Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh lauded the statement of Omar Abdullah in which the NC leader announced that no land would be given to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
For their kind of approach, both these parties would have to face the music of all the nationalists in Jammu and Kashmir as also elsewhere, he added. BJP has given extend their full support to identities for bandh.
