| BJP playing politics over Kuldeep’s death: Sadhotra | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 24 Reiterating its demand of a judicial enquiry into the death of late Kuleep Kumar and grant of Rs. 5.00 lakh exgratia relief to the next kith and kin of the deceased, Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President National Conference, has expressed concern over the way the BJP is playing petty politics over the death of the young man. He said while we all mourn the death of Kuldeep Kumar we will not allow anybody to indulge in mudslinging and politicizing the sad incident. He said BJP is indulging in vote politics and trying to exploit the situation. Sadhotra said Omar's speech in the Parliament was a speech of a secular statesman which has been appreciated by all sections of the society across the country and it is unfortunate that the BJP is twisting his words and attributing words and motives to him which he has never uttered. He said BJP which till the other day was approaching Omar Abdullah for his National Conference votes in the Parliament is now spreading canards to defame him which will not be tolerated. He said Omar's speech was based on secularism and was in national interest. He said BJP is frustrated after loosing the vote of confidence and having lost face before the public they are now indulging in cheap politics. He said they (BJP) are upset that Omar boldly exposed their communal designs and instead stood tall by saying on the floor of the parliament that "the yatra to Amarnath Shrine is a yatra as much dear to Kashmiri Muslims as to the Hindus and the yatra will go on till the last Kashmiri Muslim is alive". This statement of Omar he said has unnerved BJP which has now no face, no agenda to put forth before the public and so they are now unnecessarily trying to exploit the people of Jammu. He said people of Jammu are deeply mourned by the death of Kuldeep Kumar and his death has cast a pall of gloom in Jammu. This is not the time to raise communal frenzy instead it's a time to maintain calm and cool, said Sadhotra. He also condemned the manhandling of the photojournalists and demanded that the government should provide specialized treatment to the injured photojournalists. He also visited Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu to enquire about their well being.
