| K.C Public School wins U-14 Inter School Football Tourney | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 25
K.C Public School football team won Under-14 Football Tournament, organized by J&K Youth Services and Sports, held at BSF Stadium, here today.
School defeated Alexander Memorial School by 3 goals to nil in the opening match, MHAC Nagbani School by 2-0 in the second match and S.O.S School by 3-1 in the semi-finals.
Final match was played K.C. Public School and B.S.F Higher Secondary School in which K.C. School won by 1-0. Six students of K.C. Public School have been selected to represent Jammu district in the Inter District tournament to be held at Srinagar next month. The students selected are:- Mohit Singh, Zorawar Singh, Richi Singh, Umang Koul, Vaibhav Jain and Mohd. Azim.
The school football team has also qualified for the Subroto Mukherjee Cup to be held at Srinagar from August 11th August to 14th August.
Principal of the school Jorawar Singh appreciated the efforts of school football coach Moon Stephen and facilitated the winners in a special assembly organized in the school. |
