Rich tributes paid to Kuldeep Dogra; condemn police atrocities

On the third day of Kuldeep Dogra’s martyrdom. People from all walks of life, which include leaders of political parties, student organizations and intellectual paid rich tributes to Late. Kuldeep Dogra, who sacrificied his youthful life for the Jammu cause and restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board at Baltal, Kashmir.
People through out the region has criticized the barbaric act of police officer K.L. Kaith who along with other police jawan shows disrespect to the body of martyr Kuldeep Dogra and beat up his wife and other family member, while lifting the body in a inhuman way from Parade Ground in deed of night. The action of police and have demanded judicial enquiry in the whole matter and stern action against the persons behind the whole scene.
Hindustan Shiv Sena, which hold massive demonstration at various places in the city condemned the act of J&K police and disrespect to body. The Abdullah of National Conference is responsible for Kuldeep Dogra’s death. He demanded his arrest and to frame criminal case against him. He said since centuries yatra is taking place. He also said, where is human rights commission why it is not raising its fingers against atrocities committed against Hindus and added it is it only Muslims? He described Umar a dangerious persons for the country.
Jammu State Students Morcha in a meeting chaired by Vikram Singh strongly condemned the attitude of police, which brutally beat up the activists of morcha, while taking up peaceful protest. The act of Dy. SP M.L Kaith was also criticized who had no respect for dead persons.
Tax Bar Association, while taking the stock of the situation prevailing in the region, condemned the inhuman act of Late. Kuldeep Dogra who sacrificed his life for shrine board land, by state administration. Bar has decided to abstain from work till July 26.
Bahujan Samaj Party in a meeting chaired by Tulsi Dass expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and demands govt. job to one members of the family. They demanded judicial enquiry of police action and suspension of police officer behind the scene.
Praja Parishad Chairman, Chander Mohan Sharma also demanded probe in the matter. The workers of the party as a protest burnt effigies of Governor N.N. Vohra and M.L Kaith.
Expressing grief and shock over the death of Kuldeep Dogra, Pradesh Congress Commiittee in a meeting strongly condemned the role of police. The party has also taken exception of the statement of Omar Abdullah for his un-called remarks, which added fuel to fire. They also demanded that bereaved family be adequately compensated.
Sr. leader of Congress Mangat Ram Sharma while expressing grief over the death of Kuldeep Dogra, termed police action as most unfortunate.
A joint meeting of various trader organizations and with some social organizations of Jammu condoled the demise of Kuldeep Raj Dogra, who laid down his life for the cause of Jammu region, protesting against the government’s surrender before the secessionist and religious fundamentalists in Kashmir, in respect of cancelling land allotment to SASB at Baltal for providing facilities to the Amarnath pilgrims.
Terming Kuldeep Dogra as a martyr for the cause of regional aspirations of Jammu and for upholding the national integration, opposed to separatists tendencies in pay a compensation and relief of Rs. 10 Lakh to the family of deceased and also government job to his windowed wife, besides bearing the entire expenditure of education of his two small children.
The joint meeting held today under the chairmanship of Inderjeet Khajuria, President All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) was attended by Kuldeep Wahi, President Jammu Pratayan Vikas Mandal, Prof. Devinder Sharma, President All India Committee, S Gajan Singh, President Gurudwara Kalgidhar Prabandhak Committee, Mahesh Padha, President Jammu Tourist Trade Employees Federation, Ashwani Sharma, President Shopkeeper Association Bus Stand, Pawan Gupta, President-Hari Market Traders Welfare Association, Baldev Khullar President Sabha and ML Sharma Gen. Secy. Central Brahman Sabha resolved to raise a suitable memorial in the honor of the martyr Kuldeep Dogra and appealed to the Sangarsh Samiti to take initiative in this regard.
While playing their full support to the ongoing movement spearheaded by SASB, the organizations have demanded that the movement as well as the martyrdom of the youth should not be politicized. Kuldeep Dogra’s martyrdom should unite the people of Jammu belonging to various communities, cause and sub-regions, cutting across party lines, the meeting observed. The leaders to get rid of the hegemony of Kashmir leaders and Kashmir centric central representatives in the state.
They also strongly condemned Omar Abdullah’s remarks in the Lok Sabha that the land in question will not be allowed by the Kashmiri Muslims to be allotted to SASB, for creating facilities for the Hindu pilgrims. This statement is out and out and has provoked Kuldeep Dogra to take the extreme step, they observed.
