Jammu | July 25
Strongly condemning the police and civil administration for letting lose rein of terror in the entire Jammu to suppress the public and crush their genuine protest against the discrimination meted out to the peace loving masses, the JKNPP in a statement has urged upon the state Governor to weed out the corrupt, caste oriented and communal officers from the police force and order a judicial probe in the mysterious death of Kuldeep Kumar.
In a joint statement senior party leaders of the party including Bansi Lal Sharma, state president, P K Ganjoo vice president, Anita Thakur, Daljeet Singh, H C Jalmaria, Ghulam Ali general secretaries and Jagdev Singh coordinator have demanded a high level judicial probe by the High Court Judge to inquire into the whole issue of the martyrdom of Kuldeep Dogra and police barbarity in desecrating the dead body of the deceased by dozing it with liquor and kerosene in a bid to eliminate it without any religious sanctity, holy bath and chanting of mantras by a Pandit.
Describing the police action as most shameful against the religious, social traditions and final rituals as per the Hindu Karm Kand, these leaders have urged upon the Governor and the DGP to weed out the corrupt, caste oriented and communal officers from the police force who at times work against the legal and social norms only to please a section of the government and political leadership in the state. The act has replayed back notorious administration of legendry Halaque and Changez Khan, they remarked.
