| NC demands judicial probe into the circumstances leading to Kuldeep’s death | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 25 While expressing shock and grief over the death of Kuldeep Kumar, the National Conference leaders in a meeting held at the party headquarters here today under the chairmanship of provincial president Ajay Sadhotra have demanded a judicial inquiry into the circumstances leading to his death. The meeting expressed concern over the handling of the situation after the death of Kuleep Verma in Jammu and Bishnah by the administration and demanded that this whole episode be inquired and culprits should be dealt with under law. The meeting also expressed its gratitude to the people of Jammu for maintaining communal harmony and held BJP responsible for exploiting the situation for vote politics. The party has appealed to the people to beware of such forces who are bent upon exploiting the situation. The party in a resolution adopted at the meeting advised the BJP to desist from giving provoking statements in view of the prevailing situation in Jammu and also appealed to the Governor to invite the agitators for dialogue in order to restore peace in the Jammu region and instill confidence among the people. The resolution further reiterated its demand for conducting of a judicial inquiry into the death of late Kuldeep Verma and grant of Rs. 5.00 lakh ex gratia to the next kith and kin of the deceased.
