| Essential guests on Kashmir talks tables: Hakeem Yaseen, Tarigami | | | Early Times Reporter

Besides National Conference president Omar Abdullah, two Kashmiri leaders have emerged the globe trotter peaceniks for talking Kashmir at the all platforms across the world.
The conventions and conferences on Kashmir whether organized by Nobel Prize winning NGOs like Pugwash, organizations of Kashmiri Diaspora or Pakistani groups never miss to have on board two prominent faces from Kashmir –Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen and Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami. Of course, they are in addition to Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti but surprisingly the duo has emerged as essential ingredients of any Kashmir Conference.
Now when a Kashmir Leadership Conference is being organized in Pakistan in first week of August, besides Omar, Hakeem Yassen and Tarigami are on the guest list.
The conference organised by the Kashmir Institute of International Relations is being held to build up consensus among the Kashmiri leadership on living in either side of the Line of Control (LoC) and seek a just and durable solution to the Kashmir issue, which is acceptable to the people Kashmir, Pakistan and India, including all stake holders, the invitation letter received by Targami and Hakeem said.
It said the conference is aimed towards supporting the Peace process between India and Pakistan, seeking steps towards resolution of Kashmir issue and process of inclusion of Kashmiri leadership in the dialogue.
A number of other mainstream and separatist leaders have also been invited for the conference |
