Battery of senior lawyers who courted arrested on sunday evening under the leadership of President Jammu bar association BS Slathia has alleged undue harrassment at the behest of district administration in district police lines,Jammu.
In all 26 lawyers courted arrest outside Raj bhawan in Panthtthirti area after defying curfew restrictions and were taken to district police lines.Talking to media persons several senior lawyers alleged that senior district authorities were harassing them and slapping cases against them charging them for creating law and order situation.The lawyers who were arrested by police were identifed as BS Slathia, President of the Jammu bar association,senior advocate SS Legar, Dinesh Chouhan,Amri Sarin,AjaySharma,ShiekhShakeel,Sukhvinder Singh.Monish Chopra among others.A senior lawyer said the police intentionally switched off the power to tease arrested lawyers and were pressurising them to sign bail papers. |
