| Man injured in Kashmir grenade attack dies | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | July 28 A 30-year-old man, who was among the 28 persons wounded in the grenade attack at Batmaloo bus stand here last week, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here, raising the death toll in the incident to six, official sources said on Monday. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, a driver by profession, succumbed to splinter injuries at Soura Medical Institute where he was admitted after sustaining serious injuries in the grenade attack at Batmaloo bus stand on July 24, the sources said. Hailing from Barzulla locality, Dar breathed his last late last night and was later laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in the wee hours today, the sources said. A mother and her four children were also killed when militants exploded a grenade at the bus stand targeting a group of non-Kashmiri labourers waiting for a Jammu-bound bus. All five victims were buried at Malkhah graveyard in the interior city after a local contended police claims that the deceased were non-Kashmiris and proved that the dead were his wife and four children. |
