Restraint administration from using excessive force, NC urges Guv
‘Calls for a dialogue with agitators to end present stalemate’

Condemning the brutal use of force by the state administration against the agitators in Jammu, the NC has appealed to the Governor to restrain the administration from using excessive force and refrain from human rights violations against the people of Jammu.
The party in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President, Jammu province, at party headquarters Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu, here today described the situation in Jammu as grim and called for immediate resolution of the issue.
The party has appealed to the Governor to restrain the administration from using excessive force and refrain from Human Right Violation against the people of Jammu.
National Conference leaders said the situation in Jammu is grim and all right thinking people are concerned and want peace and normalcy to return to Jammu region. They appealed to the Governor that the government should create an environment wherein process of dialogue can start between agitators and the government.
The National Conference leaders also appealed to the agitators to come forward and enter the process of dialogue because dialogue is the only way to find a solution of the problem. The National Conference leaders also appealed to the people of Jammu to uphold their rich tradition of secularism, tolerance and not to get swayed. The party said peace in Jammu is important for Jammu and Kashmir and is in the interest of the Nation.
The National Conference leaders also urged the Governor to take emergent measures to restore the power supply in Jammu region and mitigate the sufferings of the people of Jammu who are reeling under long power cuts in this hot weather and due to the power shortage the water supply in the region is also very badly affected, the leaders said.
They also appealed to the government to draw up a mechanism where the essential commodities are made available to the people during this period of turmoil so that the poor do not go hungry.
Among others meeting was attended by Rattan Lal Gupta, Sr. Vice President, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Vice President, Kr. Rachpal Singh,ex-MLA, S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, MLC, Devender Singh Rana, MLC, Surjeet Singh Slathia former Minister, Th. Kashmira Singh, ex-MLC, Satpal Lakhotra, District President Jammu Rural "A", Mohinder Gupta, District President Jammu Rural "B", Chander Mohan Sharma District President Jammu URBAN, Ramesh Moton, Pardeep Bali, Vijay Lochan, Shyam Mehra and Vinod Bhalla.
