| NGO organizes photo exhibition of migratory birds’ | | | Early Times Reporter R S Pura | July 28
As a part of ‘world nature conservation day, Global Green Peace and Environment, 9ggh a NGO today organized a photo exhibition of the migratory birds at a local school here. A large number of school children, farmers, women folk and army personnel witnessed the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers educated the gathering about the migratory birds of Gharan Wetland and the importance of conservation of forests. The speakers impressed the need of protecting and preservation of forests, the habitats of the migratory birds. In wildlife conservation, food chains play an important role as stable and diversified food chains offer a better chance of survival to the animals living in the forests, the speakers said. Saying that the animals and the plants have a strong relationship with their habitant, the speakers added that certain living organisms can survive only in a specific kind of environment. To conserve the habitat of rare animals and plants it is essential to protect the forests from any human interference, the speakers said. President Global Green Peace and Environment Davinder Choudhary expressed satisfaction on the overwhelming response of the people and their keen desire to witness the photo exhibition. |
