New Delhi, Sept 7 The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs met here today in the backdrop of the power struggle in Jharkhand and the boundary dispute between Maharashtra and Karnataka.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his residence.
However, there was no official word immediately after the meeting as to what figured in it.
The political developments in Jharkhand are being closely watched as the Arjun Munda government has been reduced to a minority following the resignation of four ministers.
The boundary dispute has resurfaced with Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy accusing the Centre of adopting a "dual stand" on the matter saying it was contrary to the position taken by the Union Government before the Supreme Court. |
