The National Congress Party (NCP) state unit today holds a protest demonstration against the state governor N.N. Vohra for present turmoil here.
The NCP activists led by Ashok Gupta, NCP district president and President Jeewan Nagar Mohalla welfare society took out a rally from Jeewan Nagar and went upto Satwari chowk where they burnt the effigy of Governor N.N Vohra.
Addressing the protestors, Gupta alleged that governor has failed to fulfill the aspirations of Jammu people. He also held him responsible for the on going violent agitation being carried out by the Jammuites against his repressive policies.
Gupta further expressed concern over the aggressive attitude being adopted by the state police and warned it of dire consequences. He also called the decision of police reshuffle merely an eye-wash and demanded the immediate sacking of governor.
