Expressing its gratitude to the people of Jammu region who are standing unitedly under the banner of Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti against the decision of revoking the land allotment order of allotment to SASB, the Jammu State Morcha (P) has extended its full support to the Samati. The unilateral, unjustified, unethical and un-lawful revocation order has acted as a catalyst to become a rallying point of all sections of the Jammu people against the continued 60 years of long sufferings at the hands of the Kashmiri leadership, the Morcha said.
Paying homage to the Martyrs’ Ramesh Chander, Manjit Singh and Kuldeep Verma, who laid down their lives in the present struggle, the Morcha maintained that the current struggle is not a communal one as is being branded by the parochial and biased Kashmiri political parties and also by the vested quarters in Government of India. ‘It is a fight for the rights, dignity and honor of the people of Jammu region against the Kashmiri communalism, fundamentalism and secessionism’, the Morcha declared. It is heartening to see that the people from all sections of society and from all nooks and corners of Jammu Province are standing unitedly for a common cause as they have now realized that this is a do or die battle for their rights, the Morcha observed.
The use of excessive force and draconian measures by the Government authorities to suppress this peaceful and Gandhian type of movement is strongly condemnable and the Morcha takes strong exception to the use of excessive force on the peaceful demonstration.
‘The Morcha said that ‘We have no doubt that the present struggle of Jammu people will reach it logical conclusion and the victory will be theirs. The victory in the present struggle is going to be a strong signal to the Kashmiri leaders, fundamentalist and secessionist forces in the valley and the powers that be at Delhi; that Jammu region should not be taken for granted. The wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region which are distinct and entirely different from those of the Kashmiri people has to be honored and given due consideration in reaching at any future agreement, the Morcha said.
JSM (P) warned that any further neglect of the people of Jammu region by the Government of India and succumbing to the pressure of anti-national, secessionist and communal forces of the valley would result in an upsurge of a strong revolt against the Centre.
JSM (P) has asked the people of Jammu region to boycott and distance themselves from the parochial Kashmir based parties like NC and PDP. It also cautions them that the national parties who seek directions from their masters sitting in Delhi would also not be able to look after their interests and give them justice as has been amply shown in the past years. Therefore we appeal to the people of Jammu region to give their unstinted support to the Jammu based party, JSM (P) which is determined to fight for their cause and struggle to achieve a separate Jammu state. |
