| Police atrocities widely condemned | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 29 Various organizations in their separate statements have strongly condemned the alleged atrocities of police on the protestors who were holding peaceful demonstration at various places in the region on transfer of land and disrespect shown to mortal remains of Kuldeep Dogra. They described police attitude as most inhuman. People Revolutionary Movement in a press meet asked the governor N N Vohra to resolve the issue and avoid playing in the hands of Kashmiri leaders. Rajinder Jamwal on the occasion said movement is committed for Jammu cause and appealed the people be vigilant. Nowabad Welfare Society, of NITCO Lane Extension expressed solidarity with Sangresh Samiti and strongly criticized police brutalities against the people. Janak Khajuria of the society appealed the people to join hand and pressurize the govt to reconsider its decision and stop police action. Ex Minister Gahru Ram in a press meet at R.S Pura today criticized the role played by the police while cremating the Kuldeep Dogra’s body in a rough way, which shows disrespect towards Hindu religion. He condemned Umar Abdullah speech in parliament. He appeals for brotherhood at all cost. Shiv Sena Hindustan took out a massive rally in the city which was led by its president, Dimple Kohli, Addressing the rally, Kohli said, entering of police forces into the houses of people, and beating small kids and woman is a shameful act. He said carrying “Indian Flags” and rising slogans of Bharat Mata KI Jai have become cause. He demands action against all police persons who committed atrocities on people. Yuva Panther has also appealed the Governor N.N Vohra to release Rs 20 lakh to the widow of Kuldeep Dogra, who sacrificed his life for Jammu cause. Romesh Khajuria in a statement has welcomed the judicial enquiry into the episode of disrespect to body of Late Dogra and condemned police for beating the public. Jammu and Kashmir National party in an emergency meeting convened by its president Dr Randeep Singh Parihar has expressed his deep shock over the brutal attack by JKP and JKAP on women, children and senior citizen at Muthi where police personnel entered the house of people and besides mercilessely beating the children, women, old and infirm also caused loss to the tune of lacs of rupees to the property of the people of Muthi. He held Governor N.N Vohra responsible for all this mess since he is doing so to please his master Mufti Mohd Syed under whom he has worked as Secretary when Mufti was union Home Minister. The NC and PDP had joined hands with Hurriyat leaders and congress government succumbed to their pressure ignoring the sentiments of the people of Jammu and others having faith in Amarnath Shrine. The leaders Bansi Lal Sharma, P.K Ganju, S. Daljit Singh, H.C Jalmeria and Gulam Engineer, Jagdev Singh, Neelam Mahajan and other have charged the ousted Ex-Minister of Congress and PDP using their influence over administration to suppress and frustrate the people of Jammu fighting for their genuine rights, honor and dignity. |
