Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu YP Bourney today granted bail in favour of Dr. Nirmal Singh Former President of State BJP and Dharnidhar Sharma who were arrested by the Pacca Danga Police on July 23 In the bail application a team of free legal aid constituted by the BAJ appeared on behalf of the applicants and submitted that the applicants are political and religious leaders and they have not committed any offence which has been mentioned by the police in the FIR NO 112/08 dated July 24, 2008 u/s 147, 148, 353, 336, and 188 RPC. CJM after considering the arguments of counsels appearing for the petitioners and also going through the report filed by the police, granted bail to both the arrested persons with the direction to the police to release the applicants from the custody after they furnish bail bond and personal bond to the tune of Rs 20,000 each. In another bail application filed on behalf of ten applicants who were also arrested on the same day and in the same FIR in which Dr. Nirmal Singh was arrested, Forest Magistrate Yahaya Firdous granted bail in favour of Romit Badyal, Shreekant Sharma, Sanjay Baru, Shahshi Kant, Vijay, Surinder Sharma, Baldev Singh, Rajeev, Rishu and Vicky with the direction to the police to release the applicants from the custody after they furnish bail bond and personal bond to the tune of Rs 20,000 each. Sub-Registrar Judicial Magistrate Jammu today granted in favour of Amit Kumar, Nitin, Nitin Kumar, Vivek and Wali Mohammed who were arrested yesterday by the police post Parade under the P/S Pacca Danga Jammu u/s 188, 427, 332, 336, 353, r/w section 3/4 PPPD Act 1985. Court ordered that the arrested persons be released on furnishing bail and personal bond to the tune of Rs 5000 each. |
