| I-Day arrangements discussed at Ramnagar | | | Early Times Reporter

Arrangements for the celebrations of Independence Day at Ramnagar with patriotic fervour and gaiety were discussed at a meeting of Tehsil Officers of various departments convened by the Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Narinder Khajuria.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar where the VIP would unfurl the National flag at 9.05 A.M. followed by a march past by 13 contingents drawn from NCC and various educational institutions. A cultural programme would also be presented by the school children on the occasion to add colour to the function.
Tehsildar directed the officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, Municipality and Police to make adequate arrangements of drinking water and power supply, seating, first-aid, sanitation and deployment of security personnel.
It was also decided in the meeting that Government buildings would be illuminated on the eve of Independence Day. |
