| Cops booked for fudged claims | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 30
Crime Branch Jammu today registered a formal case against the two newly recruit constables of IRP 13th Battalion namely Shakeel Ahmed Wani and Bilal Ahmed Wani for producing fake and forged Matriculation certificates at the time of their recruitment in the said battalion. Giving details of the case, SSP Crime Branch said that Commandant IRP lodged a report with the Crime Branch stating therein that on the basis of a complaint in ARJO, verification of matriculation examination bearing examination Roll No 374417 and Roll NO 8177535, produced by the above named recruits, was got conducted through Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education. The Board authorities vide their communication dated May 8, 2008 intimated that the particulars and the result recorded in the marks certificates of the said candidates does not coincide with the Board records, as such marks certificates in question are absolutely fake and fraud. The SSP further said that on receipt of the complaint against the aforementioned accused persons, prima facie establishing commission of cognizable offence under sections 420/467/468/471 RPC, a formal case has been registered against the accused for in depth investigation. |
