Dr Shohab Inayat Malik, Department of Urdu University of Jammu was unanimously elected as General Secretary of All India University Urdu Teachers Association (AIUUTA), a prestigious body of Urdu teachers.
Dr Malik was elected unopposed in the election of the association which was held during the two day Urdu teachers conference at Kashmir University.
Dr Ali Javed of Delhi University was elected as the President of the association.
Prof. Malik and Dr Ali Javed had a vast experience of organizing seminars and other literary activities. Both had written several books in Urdu.
It is pertinent to mention here that Prof. Malik is the first teacher from Jammu and Kashmir who has been elected as General Secretary of the association.
Near about 100 teachers from various parts of the country attended the two day Urdu Conference which was organized by Kashmir University. The Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof. Amitabh Mattoo has congratulated Prof. Malik for this prestigious assignment and hoped that under his leadership the Urdu Association will achieve new heights. |
