Lawyers on public opinion campaign

Bar Association Jammu has decided to held series of meetings to mobilize the public opinion in support of on going agitation. This decision was taken in a meeting of Bar Association Jammu which was held today under the chairmanship of its
President Adv BS Salathia in which important decisions were taken to further intensify the ongoing agitation of the people of Jammu and also extended its full support to Bandh call given by Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti also decided to suspend the work in all the Courts up to August 3, 2008.
As per the decision the BAJ held series of meetings at Muthi, Talab-Khatikan, Chinore, Talab-Tillo, Pacca Danga and today also addressed public rallies at Bakshi Nagar and Sarwal Jammu to mobilize the public support and appeal to all the political, social, religious, students and trade organizations to stand unitedly to fight this decisive battle against discrimination with Jammu by Kashmir centric politicians. Adv Salathia while addressing the gatherings appealed the people of Jammu to maintain communal harmony and build a secular civil society by strengthening the secular forces and isolate the anti-national, separatists, Kashmir Centric and communal forces for peaceful coexistence of Jammu Civil Society.
BAJ President appealed to different employees Association to extend their support by observing one day mass casual leave on Monday August 4, 2008 in order to show solidarity with the ongoing agitation of people of Jammu.
According to the General Secretary BAJ Adv Pawan Maini that rallies were attended by large number cutting across various sections and they pledged to stand unitedly and take the ongoing agitation to its logical conclusion for the cause of people of Jammu province.
