61 positive cases reported in north Kashmir, 245 are active positive cases
Kachloo in Kupwara and Limber in Baramulla declared as RZs

KUPWARA, May 28: Sixty one fresh positive cases were reported in the twin districts, while as 245 are active positive cases, and beyond from this Kachloo and Limber declared as Red zone today in north Kashmir.
According to district wise break up, 44 and 01 others, fresh positive cases have been reported today in Kupwara district, while as cumulative total are 237, active positive cases are 167, in Baramulla district 12 fresh positive cases excluding 04 and the total number has went up to 16 today and cumulative are 169, active positive are 66, and 05 deaths have occurred till date, in Bandipora 145 are cumulative, 12 are active positive and one death has occurred so for.
However, according to an order issued by Chairman DDMA, District Magistrate Kupwara today said that, Village Kachloo thesil Kralgund are declared as Red zone and consequently there shall be no inward or outer ward movement of any person/s from the zone and the people shall stay indoors.
While as surrounding villages of Kachloo are declared as Buffer zones and the inhabitants of these areas shall also restrict their movement and shall not allow visitors/relatives to visit their homes without written permission of administrator concerned, said an order.
Meanwhile there are reports that, SDM Uri Reyaz Ahmad Malik has said that, Limber Boniyar village of district Baramulla has been declared as red-zone area by district administration after an elderly man tested positive in the area for Covid-19 virus on Wednesday.
“We picked up seventeen persons of two families of positive person and a driver whom he had travelled to Baramulla on 23 May for treatment and placed all them quarantined centre at JNV Boniyar” SDM Said.
He said a women family member of positive patient has been taken to GMC Baramulla where she will be sampled for Covid-19 test.
He said elderly positive person was COPD patient and was treated at GMS Baramulla on 23 May, on same day he was referred to SMHS for further treatment and from there he went in a private Sumo to Srinagar hospital.
Sources said that, the official has said that they are searching the driver whom he had travelled from Baramulla to Srinagar on 23 May.
“We are also looking for that doctor who treated him and other with whom he has come in contact at GMC Baramulla, said sources while quoting the official.
