Trucks plying normally between Jammu-Kashmir, spokesman

The spokesperson of Police Department today categorically refuted a rumour spread by some mischievous elements that Kashmir based drivers were beaten up by the people of Jammu. He informed that the rumour resulted in gathering of people at village Wuranhal near Khanabal to retaliate along the national highway. Upon being informed that incidence of such event was only a rumour they dispersed peacefully and the truck traffic was restored in the highway normally.
The spokesman clarified that the trucks are plying normally between Jammu and Kashmir valley without any problem. He further appealed the people to not get misled by such rumours spread by some vested elements to flare up the emotions of the people of both the regions.
He said that in case of any rumour, people should contact the Police Control Room at telephone Numbers 0191-2542000, 2542001, 2560401 and 2544581.
