A public health engineering office was damaged by the people of the Jourian here today.The people large in number shouting shogans against the PHE authority attacked on the office and broke window panes besides gave beating to employees.Holding placards written therein ‘no water no bill’ people said that they had not seen even the drop of water for the last four days.They said they had informed the higher authorities but no action could be taken in this regard.Where as in another incident protestors halted Akhnoor – Poonch road for the two hours.The matter was pacified only when the police intervened. |
