A National Conference leader on Saturday escaped a bid on his life by militants who opened fire on his vehicle in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Unidentified militants opened fire on the vehicle of National Conference leader Showkat Ahmad Andrabi at pahoo-Kakpora, a police spokesman said here. He said the personal security guard of Andrabi also fired five rounds in retaliation.
There was no loss of life or injury in the incident, the spokesman said adding police has registered a case. |
