| Citizen’s peace committee meeting held at Ramban | | | Early Times Reporter

Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mr. A. D Shanas today called a meeting of the citizen peace committee which was earlier constituted involving prominent citizens of the district in the efforts of maintaining peace and communal harmony. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ab. Rashid Wani, Ab. Aziz Katoch, A. R Mushtaq Advocate, Om Parkash, Amrit Versha, Ch. Mohd. Yaqoob, Sham Singh Katoch, S. Janak Singh, Dharam Singh Ex. Sarpanch, Ch. Mohd Farooq, Ved Bushan Gupta, G.M Farooqi Imam New Masjid Ramban. Besides ACR Ramban Mr. R. S Tara and Ch. Talab Hussain Dy. SP Hqr Ramban also attended the meeting. While interacting with the meeting the Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the citizen’s peace committee for their whole hearted support and co-operation to the district administration in maintaining law and order conditions during this time of crises.
The Deputy Commissioner also sought help of the citizen peace committee in maintaining essential supply line in the district, so that the common people in the far flung areas do not suffer on account of supply of the essential commodities. The citizen peace committee assured that they will continue to uphold the traditions of peace, amity and brotherhood in the area which is the distinguished characteristic of the people of Ramban, Banihal and Batote. |
