| Laborer among 3 killed on Srinagar-Leh highway | | |
Srinagar, Aug 03:
Three persons including a laborer died when a Truck carrying goods to Ladakh skidded off the road and rolls down about 400 feet down at Captin Morh Zojalla on Srinagar-Leh Highway late last night.
Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that Truck (JK02AD-3585) skidded off the road and rolled down at Captin Morh on Srinagar-Leh highway at around 10 PM last night.
Other drivers informed police and army who immediately reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
"Three persons including the driver of the truck died and two bodies have been recovered so far", a local police officer told NAK adding the body of the cleaner was yet to be recovered.
The deceased whose bodies were recovered this morning by the army and police have been identified as Pritpal Singh son of Saroor Singh of Nanak Nagar Jammu and Manzoor Ahmad son of Fazul Rehman of Kulan Sonamarg. |
