Kayakalap Awards for health Institutions of J&K, Ladakh UTs announced

JAMMU, June 24: Kayakalp awards of both UTs of J&K and Ladakh for the financial year 2019-20 was declared yesterday. In District Hospital category six District Hospitals qualified the external assessment and among them four are from Jammu division. DH Reasi was declared first and a prize amount of 50 lacs and three other District Hospital are Govt Hospital Gandhinagar, District Hospital Udhampur and district Hospital Poonch got commendation awards and a prize award of Rs. 3 lakh each.
In Community Health Centres (CHC) category, three CHCs of Jammu Division qualified and among them CHC Ramnagar (Udhampur) was declared second.. CHC Katra (Reasi) CHC Bhaderwah (Doda) got the Commendation awards.
In Primary Health Centres (PHC 24x7) and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHC) categories, 9 PHCs and 1 UPHC qualified. Among them UPHC Shastri Nagar in Jammu district was declared winner and PHC Budi (Katra) PHC Ransoo (Reasi) PHC Tikri (Udhampur) PHC Rattanpur (Samba) were declared winner and PHC Laiter (Reasi) PHC Sumb (Samba) PHC Barnara, PHC Majalta & PHC Hartaryan from district Udhampur got the commendation awards.
Director Services Jammu congratulated all the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendents, District Nodal Officers,(QAP), Block Medical officers and incharges of the health institutions and their hospital teams who were declared winners and also urged that all the Chief Medical Officer of the Jammu division to disseminate the idea of Quality Process in all the Health Institution of their respective districts so that more institutions can qualify from Jammu Division under this programme next year.
