| JKNPP leaders amazed over their non-inclusion in All Party meet | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 5
The Panthers Party leadership has expressed concern over the way the Government of India has not invited its leaders for the All Party meeting to be held in Delhi tomorrow. The meeting has been convened by Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, for discussing the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. A senior Party leader, Harsh Dev Singh, today said "it is surprising that our party leaders have not been invited to the meeting." He said if the National Conference and the PDP leaders had been invited to the meeting on the plea that they are regional parties "we too deserved to be invited so that we could also express our views on the issue." In reply to a question he said that the leaders of the state unit of the BJP, VHP and Shiv Sena were not invited because these parties were going to be represented by their national leaders in the meeting but what is the rationale behind inviting Mangat Ram Sharma, Gulchain Singh Charak and B. R. Kundal from the state unit of the Congress when the party was being represented by leaders in Delhi. Harsh Dev Singh said that by excluding the Panthers Party from the list of the invitees to the meeting the Centre had again shown its bias in favour of Kashmiri leaders. |
