| 881 Light Regiment celebrates its Raising Day | | | Early Times Reporter

The 881 Light Regiment celebrated its 46th Raising Day today. The Regiment raised on August 1963 has actively participated in most of operations of Indian Army including Op Cactus Lilly, Op Meghdoot, Op Vijay, Op Rhino and Op Rakshak. The Regiment has been awarded with COAS Unit citation and GOC-in-C Northern Command Unit citation for excellent performance in Op Meghoot in 1998-99.
On the occasion of its 46th Raising Day, the Regiment held Special Sainik Sammelan, Wreath Laying ceremony and Barakhana. The attendance was made memorable with the gracious presence of ex- Officers and veterans of the Regiment who expressed pride in achievements and standard of the Regiment. On this solemn occasion all ranks re-affirmed their oath to take the Regiment towards a glorious future. |
