The Jammu Confederation of Industries of Commerce (JCOIC) are worried about the situation arising out of unprovoked police firing on peaceful demonstrators at various places in the region. Prithvi Raj, president of JCOIC in a meeting of member condemn police lathi charge and firing on the protestors demanding restoration of land to SASB. He said when ever people of Jammu demand their right is a communal & parochial let them introspect who are communal, those who forced non Muslims to flee from valley to protect the dignity & honor of the women’s their children’s while Jammu people embrace them with open arms, gave a shelter, absorbed them in their society lest they may not feel aliens.. heavy deployment of armed forces, CRPF, RAF and now Army has failed to curb the determination of the people should be an eye opener to the central govt ands state govt and people will settle for nothing less than the restoration of land, more the police atrocities the more will be the determination of people. People of Jammu have been subjected to all sorts of discriminations during the last 60 years, but now the people of Jammu has arisen as one, time has come to demand equal rights and privilages as are being enjoyed by people of the valley. Members took to task Mehbooba Mufti for her irresponsible statements terming state of Jammu and Kashmir as a country. Chameleon character that she has it is hardly suprising that she has no hesitation in being member of parliament and at the same time dreaming queen of J&K State.
