Brutal force won't suppress movement across Jammu: JSMP
8/6/2008 11:10:00 PM

Jammu | Aug 6

Coming down heavily on administration for using brutal force against the peaceful protesters across Jammu region, Jammu State Morcha( Progressive) has maintained that the atrocious force would only strengthen the movement by uniting the people of province who have been facing the excesses from last more than sixty years.
Addressing media persons in a press conference here today, JSMP President, Virender Gupta said that the firing at Samba and Akhnoor only proves that the government is hell bent to repress the peaceful movement of Jammu through force.
"The way the SSP Samba fired upon the protesting mob some days ago with out the consent of duty magistrate brings to fore that the police department has the special instructions from the state administration to strangle the voice of people," Gupta added.
Ridiculing Mehbooba Mufti in particular and Kashmir based leadership in general for teaching Jammuities the lesson of secularism, Gupta said that Kashmir leadership should never even touch the subject of secularism as the migration of lakhs of Hindus from valley speaks volumes about their secularism under the garb of so called Kashmiriyat, he added.
Decrying Kashmir based leadership for leveling baseless allegations against the peace loving Jammuties, Gupta asked them to instead set their own house right by stopping its miscreants from attacking the Jammu based NIT students studying in Srinagar and the Ashram of Babu Asha Ram at Pampore.
" It is ridiculous that instead of setting the things right at their own place the Kashmir based leadership is trying the hide its own fault by blaming peace loving people of the which has never been the part of their culture," he said.
Criticizing Central government for not inviting Swami Amar Nath Sangarsh Samti, he said that the Samti was the only Forum fighting for the cause of Jammu and ignoring of it by Central government makes no sense at all.
"The samti being the conglomerate of more than thirty parties is the only forum for Jammuties to fight the present cause and the central governments ignoring it clearly shows the nearsightedness and lack of commitment," he said.
Others present on the occasion were Devinder Singh Jamwal and Chander Udai Sharma.
