| Channi Himmat residents seek blood donation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 6
A meeting of Channi Himmat Residents Association was held under the chairmanship of its president Advocate V.K.Grover to discuss grave situation arising out of shortage of blood of different groups in various hospitals as appearing in the print as well as electronic media. “It has been observed that despite desires of so many donors to donate blood the donors might not be in a position to approach authorities of Blood Bank due to strict enforcement of curfew in entire city by the army. As such it is impressed upon the health authorities to organize Blood Donation Camps in different areas where the people are sure to come in hundreds to donate their blood,” the residents said. The association urged Dr. Raina of Government Medical College and incharge Blood Bank to start this process from Channi Himmat and assures the authorities that more than adequate response shall be given to them by the residents of this area. Till such camps are held by the authorities this association calls upon residents, particularly the youth of greater Jammu consisting of Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Channi Himmat and Sainik Colony to come forward and donate their blood generously in the hospitals on the calls of health authorities |
