Responding to News item carried by a section of press regarding shortage of medicines and closure in chemist shops due to imposition of curfew and bandh call on August 06,2008, the field forces of the department of Drugs and Food Control Organization carried out a survey of the market and held interaction with representatives of Retail/Wholesale Drug Associations of Jammu Province. During the survey, it has been found that there is no shortage of medicines in the market and some shops are kept open in every locality to cater to the needs of general public.
