A meeting of Bar Association Jammu was held today under the chairmanship of B.S Slathia, its president in High Court Complex, Janipur, Jammu in which it was reiterated that the army deployed in different Districts of Jammu Province in order to suppress the ongoing agitation and not allowing the people to come out of their homes to peacefully demonstrate their views vis-à-vis the ongoing agitation be withdrawn forthwith, as the people of Jammu, have great regards for the Indian Army. Bar Association, Jammu, constituted a committee comprising of B.S. Manhas, Hafiz-ur-Rehman, R.K Kotwal, D.S Chauhan, Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad, Rakeshwar Singh Durswal, Mohinder Pal Singh Pali, Ranjit Singh Jamwal, Jyoti Mishra, Ajay Sigh Manhas, Piyush Gupta, Pawan Dev Singh and Baldev Singh advocates for ensuring the maintenance of communal harmony and appealed to the people of Jammu to contact these members as and when any incident intended to communalize the situation is apprehended. The Bar Association, Jammu appeals to the people of Jammu to maintain traditional communal harmony and brotherhood at every cost otherwise forces enemical to the ongoing agitation are out and out to disturb the traditional communal harmony of Jammu by branding the present agitation, a step towards communal divide. The Bar Association Jammu is of the view that it is a historically recognized fact that fighting force is always the decisive force, therefore, the Central Government which has already delayed and maintained studied silence should immediately hold dialogue with Shree Amarnathji Yatra Sangrash Samiti and any further delay on its part is sure to prove fatal and the situation may take an ugly turn. Bar Association, Jammu, condemned firing on innocent agitation people in Kathua, in which a youth lost his precious life while participating in a peacefully demonstration. Bar Association, Jammu, appreciated the sentiments of local population residing in Tawi island areas of Villages Khandwal, Mandal Phallian etc. who exhibited complete Hindu, Muslim, Sikh unity and could not be dettered by curfew restrictions to reach the venue in order to raise their voice and participate in peaceful in peaceful demonstration by crossing over from Nikki Tawi. This Hindu, Muslim, Sikh unity is a complete answer to the vicious campaign and propaganda of separatists, fundamentalist and anti-nationalist elements who are raising the bogie that the ongoing agitation is a handiwork of communal and facist forces. Bar Association, Jammu appealed to the people to ignore this propaganda and get united to fight this decisive battle jointly by supporting Sangrash Samiti.
