Bhim Singh chairman of JKNPP, who has been observing fast unto death for the last four days in the winter capital in support of the demand of restoration of land to SASB has been hospitalized following his condition suddenly deteriorating today and he was rushed to GMC Hospital. A team of doctors examining him reported his condition to be critical. The Doctors attending on him including the Medical Superintendent GMC Jammu said Singh suffered from High Blood Pressure and his ECG was also abnormal and certain changes were noticed in the same which required further examination. He said that Bhim Singh would be kept under observation and further investigation would be held during the next few hours. Meanwhile, Singh has described formation of so- called committee for a dialogue as a cruel joke with the people of Jammu. He regretted that PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh has also been misled about the existing ground situation in Jammu province created because of most popular uprising of people of Jammu. He called upon the people to boycott the all party delegation as well as so called committee. Prof. Singh said that that all discriminations meted out to the people of Jammu must end now or never. He said that Kashmiri Muslim fraternity is not against Shri Amarnath Yatra nor they are against diversion of the land in question to the Board if the proprietary right on the land is kept intact with the State Government (Forest Department). The Governor should have invited Muslim religious leader like Mufti-e-Azam and sought their opinion instead of imposing curfew in the Dogra land, he observed. The Prime Minister on the other hand convened a meeting of such leaders who were not even apprised of geography of Jammu Pardesh while ignoring the true representatives of Jammu. He declared that his fast unto death shall continue till the aspirations of the people of Jammu province are met. Hundreds of people, intellectuals, lawyers, artists, academicians and religious personalities visited fasting Panthers Party Chairman and expressed full support and solidarity with his mission and agenda. In the meantime, Faquir Nath former MLA and Sr. Vice-President of JKNPP declared that he shall also join the indefinite fast with Prof. Bhim Singh from tomorrow. |
