| Vohra gets three pairs of ears, eyes | | Tyabji, Bloeria, Phunsog to advise Governor | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 7
Just three days short of a month after assuming the charge of state government, the Governor NN Vohra has finally taken Advisors to assist him in the administrative affairs. So far, the Governor had dropped indication at his all meetings with the officers that he would prefer to work without Advisors and would instead like to have direct rapport with the officers. However, the sudden move of appointing Advisors seems to have been influenced by the fast deteriorating law and order situation and sharpening political sensitivities where Governor apparently needs people around him to handle the situation on political, administrative and security fronts. A Raj Bhavan spokesman today disclosed that Governor, N N Vohra, has appointed three Advisors to assist him in the effective administration of the State. Those appointed as Advisors are, H H Tyabji, Dr S S Bloeria and C Phunsog, all of whom are retired IAS officers of the Jammu and Kashmir State Cadre and have served as Chief Secretaries to the State Government, besides holding other important assignments in the State and Central Governments. The Advisors are expected to assume responsibility shortly, said the spokesman. |
