| PDP hails appointment of Advisors | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 8
A meeting of the senior leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party was held today at party headquarters to assess the prevailing law and order situation in Jammu region. PDP leaders welcomed decision of the Centre to send all party team to visit Jammu to interact with cross sections of the society. They hoped that initiative taken by the government to resolve the crises would yield a positive result. While hailing decision of Governor to appoint three advisors, meeting observed that this step would help in creating a bridge between common people and the administration. Meeting strongly condemned attack on house of former Minister and party leader Manjit Singh and expressed surprise that miscreants have been selectively targeting houses of the PDP leaders but authorities have not taken any step to provide security to party leaders. Meeting shifted all blame on the administration for repeated attacks on the house of party leaders. The party leaders also expressed their concern over present situation in Jammu region and appealed people of Jammu region to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood to frustrate designs of those forces which are hell bent to create division among different sections. |
